Panda Poses in Frame at Pier 7 (Outtake)

Panda was excited to come along on another San Francisco adventure. Lately, many of the outings had seemed like ordinary errands that Panda would not come on, but Panda had learned that even the smallest trips often turned into memorable experiences.

The day began with a 9:00 a.m. inspection in the City. To avoid the morning traffic, we left early and decided to spend sunrise at Pier 7. According to my Sun Seeker app, this was the perfect time of year to watch the sun rise behind Yerba Buena Island from that location.

As the sky brightened, Panda discovered a giant picture frame near the pier. It is called "Got Framed" by artist El NiNo. It is perfectly positioned to frame Pier 7, making it an irresistible place for a photo. Panda happily climbed into position and posed as if the entire scene had been designed just for her.

Of course, Panda couldn't resist trying both directions. One view looked down Pier 7, while the other framed the iconic Transamerica Building. As an added bonus, the moon was still hanging in the sky, creating a beautiful combination of old and new San Francisco in a single scene.

Panda thought that was pretty special.

After enjoying the sunrise and capturing a few photos, it was time to head to the inspection. Panda happily climbed back into the camera bag, content after another successful morning adventure.

Only one photo was shared that day—the one with the Transamerica Building and the moon. No words were needed. The image spoke for itself, and the response was a simple heart, which made Panda smile.
