Panda was very excited to visit La Bufadora, the famous natural marine geyser near Ensenada. There is nothing quite like watching water shoot high into the air!

Getting there had been an adventure of its own. After several mishaps, we almost decided to put off the visit for another day. Fortunately, we went after all, and the timing turned out to be perfect. We had plenty of time to enjoy the attraction.

The journey to La Bufadora led through a gauntlet of souvenir shops stretching nearly 500 meters. There were plenty of mass-produced trinkets, but on the way back, I discovered some beautiful hand-painted magnets made by a local artist.

At the lookout, Panda found herself surrounded by a crowd of excited visitors. Normally, Panda wasn't especially fond of crowds, but this place was different. Whenever the water erupted, people cheered as the spray rained down around them. There was a wonderful sense of community, almost like everyone was participating in a shared ritual.

Panda loved the excitement, but she had no intention of getting soaked. Even a little salt water could permanently discolor her fur and be difficult to clean. So whenever the geyser erupted, I quickly tucked Panda under my shirt for protection.

She emerged from each spray only a little moist.

Of course, Panda wanted her photo taken with La Bufadora. I held her at arm's length and posed for photo after photo, hoping one would turn out well. Somehow, the other outtakes were destroyed, but the best photo survived intact because it was shared, thus preserving it.

Panda was proud of the surviving photo. It captured the excitement of La Bufadora and the memory of a wonderful day in Mexico.

The photo was shared with a special message:

"Panda knows you are not feeling well and wanted to channel the energy of La Bufadora. ❤️"

The response was a wow.

Panda hoped that some of the geyser's energy, excitement, and healing spirit would travel across the miles to someone who needed it.
