Panda at Letras Puerto Vallarta, Statue Only (Copy)

Panda was not especially excited about Puerto Vallarta. It was the last stop of the cruise, and after fourteen days of exciting adventures, it seemed there wasn't much left to discover—especially with almost no budget and only a short time in port. Even cruise stops, it seemed, were subject to the law of diminishing returns.

Still, Panda was willing to give Puerto Vallarta a chance.

For this adventure, we chose a hop-on-hop-off tour. It turned out to be perfect. We could see the city, take in the sights, and explore casually without using up too much energy. After two weeks of travel, Panda appreciated an adventure that didn't require too much effort.

Along the way, Panda found a statue that made a particularly good place for a photo. She posed close up, then stepped back for a view of the entire statue, and finally posed from farther away so the surrounding sign and scene could be seen.

Apparently, Panda wasn't quite ready to leave the spotlight. Later, my father had someone take a photo with his phone of the two of us standing in front of the statue. Panda was still there, quietly photobombing us.

After the tour, it was back to the ship. There were two more days at sea before arriving in Los Angeles and beginning the long drive home to the Bay Area. Panda was perfectly happy with that plan. After fourteen days of adventures, a couple of quiet days aboard the ship sounded pretty good.

The three photos were shared, along with the later photo from my father's phone. The response was a "wow" to the photos and a simple, "So beautiful." Panda decided that perhaps Puerto Vallarta had been a better adventure than she expected after all.
