Panda at a Cabin in the Sierras (Archive Image)
Panda decided to come along to the men’s weekend in the Sierras. She thought she might sneak in and get a few photos with the men, but then thought better of it. She knew she wasn’t really allowed at the men’s weekend—and quite frankly, she didn’t want to be there anyway. She appreciated the work the men were doing together to become more conscious, connected, and community-minded. They needed their time together.
So Panda found her own place among the beautiful pine trees.
While the men spent their weekend together, Panda stayed in the car, listening to nature and enjoying the peacefulness of the Sierras. At night, she watched the amazing stars through the darkness of the forest. It was actually a pretty wonderful place for a Panda to be.
When the weekend was over, Panda was happy to join the rejuvenated men for the drive home. Before leaving camp, she took a quick pose in front of one of the cabins.
But Panda’s thoughts were not entirely in the Sierras.
Her heart was with Villa de Leyva. A wildfire was threatening the area, putting a home, friends, a cat, and precious possessions at risk. Panda knew there was nothing she could do from so far away, but she could still send her thoughts and prayers.
So while she had not been allowed at the men’s weekend, Panda had found a peaceful way to spend her time among the pines, the stars, and the quiet of the mountains.
And she was praying for Villa de Leyva. ❤️
