Panda enjoys the view of San Franicsco (First)
Panda had not planned on going to San Francisco that day. The trip was supposed to be an ordinary work day, helping get an apartment ready for a new tenant. Normally, Panda would have stayed home for such a practical outing.
However, Panda knew something important about this apartment: it had an amazing view of the city!
At the last minute, Panda decided that a visit to San Francisco was absolutely necessary just to see the view.
The trip itself was unexpected. I had not planned to go either, but my brother had injured his thumb and needed some help preparing the apartment for rent. So Panda and I headed to the City together for a day of cleaning, painting, and viewing.
Unfortunately, not all of the adventure was relaxing.
At one point, Panda was placed on a shelf above where my brother was painting. This was extremely unsettling. One wrong move could have resulted in permanent paint damage to Panda's fur. Panda remained perfectly still, trying not to look down and hoping no paint splatters would fly upward.
Thankfully, disaster was avoided, and Panda survived the painting operation without a single drop of paint landing on her fur.
After a successful day in the City, Panda returned home, happy to have been part of an otherwise ordinary work day that turned into a small adventure.
The photo was shared with the message, "Panda, last minute, decided to go to the City to check out the apartment, and to check out the view." The response was a kiss, followed later by reassuring words that made Panda feel very safe: "Never anything bad can happen to Panda." That made Panda smile and feel protected.
